Can you hear the noise of blood rushing in your ear?

I think I saw something on this on Bill Nye a few years ago... Talking about the reason people get dizzy while spinning is because of the blood rushing through their ears...

There was also something said on when laying down against a pillow you can hear your blood rushing through your ear... I've heard it quite a bit... To me it sounds like someone shoveling rocks...

Anyone else hear this???

How loud is it? Does it prevent you from getting to sleep? If you hear ok I don't see a problem.

I hear it often ... sometimes it prevents me from falling asleep, but I just change the way I lay and I can't hear it anymore.

Also when cycling sometimes I can hear it if I stop ...

Poll needs a sometimes option. Infrequent for me, but it does happen occasionally.
