Can you have sex on a piano?

Roomate and I got into an argument about this today.

I don't see how there's any way. Sure a Piano might be able to hold the extra 300 pounds if it weren't moving, but the back and forth movement would bend the legs and eventually the whole thing would just collapse.

Roomate says Pianos are built way too solidly for a couple extra hundred pounds to matter, even in motion.

Of course it can hold the weight and stress. Do you know how freaking heavy they are already?

They can easily be up to 1000 lbs.

I can play chopsticks on one. I've certainly never moved one. It just doesn't seem possible they're built so solidly that two healthy adults doing the naughty dance on top of it wouldn't cause something to break.

Yes. Think about it, they have to survive being moved, and the load of 1000 pounds dropping several inches as you go through a pothole is going to be less than a couple of adults moveing around on top of it. Now, if you started jumping on it, all bets are off.

Space and height might be an issue with upright pianos

but if you have a grand piano, put the lid down, plenty of space. We pay people to move it the thing. its a ridiculously heavy. So it shoudl be able to handle any the stress.

not sure about baby grand pianos though, but I'm sure they are still big enough to handle to people on top of it.

A piano is really hard to have sex on, it's very narrow, tall and i don't know why you'd want to do it.

I have a Thomann UP 118M at home and it's not a place i'd ever consider having sex on.
