Used finished using H-Oda's utilites to boost performance of my MSI K7T Pro2-A. Was able to enable Fast Writes which boosted my 3DMark2000 scores. Can you have both Side Banding and Fast Writes enabled? If so what are benefits?

Yes you can - I have both enabled at AGP4x with my Gladiac GTS on an Abit KT7. Benefits? Doesn't seem to add a whole lot.

Abit tech people told me that fast write is "vapor ware". Their newest bios will no longer support it. Guess it's another good idea that went down the crapper.

It's not vaporware because it causes problems for a good number of people. Guess it's one of those things that sounds good theoretically, but falls short when implemented. Besides, only nVidia uses it, and there was a story/rumor not too long ago that nVidia and Intel had some work to do on optimizing drivers for fast writes to work effectively. Makes one wonder if they ever did it.
