Can you have a dead pixel temporarily?

It was bright yellow or green (I'm green blind, so don't know). Today I ran Dead Pixel Buddy and don't see it.

Sounds like a stuck pixel to me, not a dead pixel. They can change.

Anyhow, jah, there are stuck pixels. Generally, though, you get them when you unbox the display and switch it on for the first time. I had a few on my Dell LCD and took the (somewhat crazy) advice to gently rub around the pixel. Sure, enough they came unstuck.

Yup.
