Think of how cool that would be---

just have like a random desk wtih a mobo, ram, gfx card, hdd and power supply...it owuld be cool too

Certainly.

My brother ran his computer with just a PS for over a year.

Just don't be droppin' sh!t on it..

lol. You wouldn't have to worry about overheating that's for sure! Just put 'em all in an airconditioned room and on a desk. You might have a dust issue. Also, i don't know if it's good for parts just to be touching something (ie. vga cards, controller cards, sound cards, etc.)

Just build the computer into the drawer of your desk.

Take the removable MB tray from some random case, screw it into the drawer and work from there.

A while ago I looked at the possibility of creating a "hanging computer" where I would take a sheet of plexiglass, screw all the components into it, and then hang it on my wall. My conclusion was that it would work fine as long as the optical drives were (mostly) parallel to the ground. None of the ones I tried would work if they were perpendicular to the ground.

I don't think we're "herbing" on you (though I could be wrong, since I don't know what "herbing on me" means), we're simply telling you our experiences/opinions with it. Don't be so damn sensitive.

I think that's been done before. I'm not looking for the link, but it was sort of back when case modding first took off.

Also, they sell these things, it's sort of like a multishelf box with, I think, holes to screw in a mobo and psu without having a case.

I had my stuff on my desk for a while. It caused a lot of problems and it's nothing like having everything in a regular case. I love my Antec.

It's funny that you have Yatta in your sig because that was the first thing I thought of when I saw that half-naked guy. At first, I thought they were BOTH half-naked! :Q
