Can you hack an old primestar reciever to do something else?

Hi,

I found a couple old primestar recievers in the attic from three or four years ago that still work, and I'm wondering what to do with them. I know you can use the dish as a 802.11 antenna, but I want to do something just with the reciever. Something perhaps cool and or useful. Thanks for any help!

how can you use the dish as an 802.11b antenna? links please.. how far does it improve the range?
