Can you graft male and female pistachio plants onto the same tree?

The nursery is closed today and the google reveals most who care about this sort of thing have many acres to play with and have room for many trees and so plant male and female trees so where else could I turn but ATOT?. By the way, if you're looking to be reincarnated, female pistachio trees outnumber males by 8-10 to 1.

wtf, I didn't know there is a male pistachio tree and a female one! I thought it was just like any other tree that can self-pollinate.

Just read a bit on wiki and there it was, male and female trees. Did not know about that.

What kind of nursery closes on a Sunday? Weekends are prime time for nurseries.

one where the owner works alone and wants a day off. Or, one where the owner is highly religious and cannot work on Sunday due to his Religion. Probably the 2nd, as if it was the first they would smartly close during the week and not on a Sunday.

Time for someone in Louisiana to start lobbying to have laws passed against this.

A hermaphroditic pistachio tree is an abomination before God. It is time for some delicious, salty repentance!

Not all trees self pollinate. Or vegetables, for that matter.

Translation: one where the owner doesn't like to make money.

If you're willing to lose money in the name of Religion. While I would never follow, I respect the hell out of a person who makes that choice. I wanted Chick-Fil-A today but they're closed because Sunday is a day for Church. I could only imagine how much money they lose not being open on Sunday.

Thanks a lot Jesus, because of you I can't get a delicious Chick-Fil-A sammich today!
