That's what my horoscope says. Well FUCK NO I CANT. I already went and bought water for my water tank for work, and had lunch.

Gemini
5/21-6/21

Can you go the whole day without spending any money? It's a good test of financial discipline, and while you may be forced to pony up for parking, bus fare or something else, it's worth a try.

I don't see it as a "good test of financial discipline", since you could have paid for gas, groceries, new clothes, rent for the month, your water for your tank at work, etc yesterday and today you don't have to spend anything. Doesn't mean you are financially disciplined.

Of course. I'm disabled and spend most days in bed waiting for my pain pills to kick in.

It's the only way my disability payment can stretch a whole month.

I'd say I spend $0.00 4 days a week on average. I do all my shopping on the weekend, usually on Saturday. We order take-out on Friday night. I have to put gas in my car about every 10 days. Other than special occasions this is my routine.

EDIT: ^^ I have a wife and child but child is only 10 months old. I'm sure things will change as she gets older, but I can't imagine getting to a point where I spend money every day.

I can, but I imagine this would be impossible with a wife and child.

We do it all the time, heck I would say 50/50 during the week.

But our lifestyle allows it (easy commute to work, always have left overs for lunch, no parking/commute fees etc).

I don't think it's a form of discipline. It all depends on the persons life/location/commute etc.

Some of it is discipline. I couldn't count the number of times I left the lunch I had with me uneaten in favor of something I bought. Or buying another cup of coffee after drinking the 2l I took with me. That's just plain greedy :^D

atleast two to three days in any given week is like that. I bring my lunch so no money there, if I am too busy and don't go to the vending machine then I don't spend anything at all. It also helps as this place does not have anything besides vending machines so if you don't go out during lunch, the chances of not spending anything if very high. Last place I worked had multiple food courts and Starbucks so over there, i don't remember going one day without spending anything...

Although, even in the current situation there is one caveat, newegg's shellshocker or email coupons... they are sometimes irresistible... damn you Newegg....
