Right now I'm on a wired network and I'm using Drive Image 2002 to do all my imaging. I'm curious if you could use a wireless network to image hard drives as well. Has anyone had direct experience using Drive Image 2002 over a wireless network?
I have used ghost over a wireless connection, I was in direct proximity to the WAp and it was my only alternative.
It was allot slower tha normal, but i wasnt in a rush so it worked just fine.
The hardest part was getting the NIC card to work!
thanks for the responses. What are your thoughts on this:
computer A will be imaged.
computer B will be hosting the image.
Using a wireless router that has traditional 100mb cat5 as well as wireless capabilities,
connect computer A to the network via regular cat5 nic and imaging it to computer B which is connected via wireless.
I know its only as fast as the wireless connection but would this resolve the problem of getting a wireless nic to work when imaging by just using a regular (cat5 required) nic?
Seems logical to me. I'm trying to cover my bases before I go wireless. I've tried Windows Remote Desktop with good success over wireless even though I use it over a 100mb network.
