Lets put aside unpleasant taste and toxicity, could one get drunk like drinking some vodka by drinking these or any other volatile alcohol?

n-propyl alcohol<--industrial chemical
methanol<--- the thing certain race car runs and used to protect windshield washer from freezing
isopropyl alcohol<---rubbing alcohol contains 140proof of this
ethanol distilled out of gasoline<--this is basically the same alcohol as liquor and beer.
Butyl alcohol<--industial chemical
Isobutyl alcohol,--industrial chemical

Edit: Please do not try this at home as it may be harmful for your health. The real question is whether or not its toxic or not, can you get drunk? I know methanol metabolizes into formaldehyde and damage the optic nerve.

I don't know if you'd get to enjoy the inebriation before the unpleasantness set in....

well, I believe that even pure ethanol will kill you and most of those will kill you too. In fact, wood alcohol is particularly nasty as it causes formaldehyde to slowly form in your system, mummifying you while still alive.

i don't think so. my memory is vague, but i had a chemistry professor who was obsessed with alcohol, and i seem to recall him saying that not all of them make you drunk.

Not that I've done it before but you can get drunk off the alcohol in things like cough syrup, mouthwash, etc...

It's a different kind of drunk though. More of a walking dead sort of feeling...

Most of the hydrocarbon compounds you have listed there are fatal if ingested, some in doses as small as 100cc (about 1g/kg). I wouldn't advise testing any of them.

They're classified as alcohols and its not hydocarbons. Hydrocarbons are made of hydrogen and carbon only. Alcohol has R-OH structure. For example ethanol is C2H5OH, methanol CH3OH

Read up on the experiences of Soviet soldiers (and officers) during World War II when they weren't issued their vodka ration. They would sometimes use whatever was available that had alcohol, with some rather nasty effects at times.

Mouthwash contains more alcohol per volume than beer if I recall correctly.

The alcohol that is in those mixtures is the same that is in vodka and other alcohols, so you would get the same type of drunk. That "walking dead" feeling is from the other substances that are in the mixtures such as diphenhydramine and dextromethorphan (DXM).

IIRC, feeling drunk is caused by the toxins in alcohol. So you would get drunk...although you'd die much more quickly, I suspect....or go blind or something...

Methanol (wood alcohol) might be a great buzz if you don't mind blindness, insanity or death. I don't know the specific results of ingesting others you mention, but Russian Roulette with bullets in all chambers offer about the same odds. :Q

Sounds like you've already suffered brain damage from your prior experience.
