Can you game on a regular notebook

So I'm looking to buy a small laptop 13" or so and I've noticed that these small laptops don't come with high end gpu cards...

So what kind of frames per second can I expect on one of these laptops (res 1440 x 900 or 1280 x 800) for BF2 or Rome Total War?


And what kind of score can I expect on 3dmark06?

64mb about 14-25fps
128mb about 26-30fps

Isn't the Dell XPS 1330 available with a Geforce Go 8400 and 13.3" screen?
