can you fix dead pixel by urself?

I highly doubt it. LCD's are so expensive because they also pay for the defective LCD's that are thrown out because of dead pixels.

HI, if u find a dead pixel on the screen, can u somehow remove it by urself?

thanks

Sometimes you can "massage" a dead pixel out. Take a q-tip (cotton swab) and roll it lightly on the dead pixel. Somtimes it will come back to life.

Then you'll risk scratching the surface. 😛

My LCD has one white dead pixel that came shipped (meaning it's there from the very beginning). And a red pixel developed after about 3, 4 months. I was able to rub the red one away, although it does come back from time to time, but not very often. The white pixel does not go away at all, fortunately it's near the corner and only noticeable when I look for it.

BTW, this DOES NOT work for bringing dead people back to life. If I had know this earlier I would have been spared a lot of embarrassment at my grandmother's funeral.

I just use my finger when I see it.

The quicker you catch it, the easier it goes away. The same one crops up every 3 months or so, and I just massage it away.
