The install will freeze @ a certain point and come up with this error...i've been unable to get any help on it...any ideas?

I'm running Windows XP and these programs cause it for me: JediKnight2, 3DMark2K1 SE....

I don't use XP, but the only time I've seen installations freeze is when they disagreed with the antivirus software I had running in the background. Just a longshot...
