I have always wondered that! I wanted to take a g4 case, gut it, and replaces everything with PC parts. Is it possible?

It would work if you had the right motherboard. I know about 80% of the holes wont line up to fasten the motherboard... It would take some work but you would have to make sure that your motherboards CPU socket isn't inline with the cd-rom brackets...

I have a B&W G3 (which is the same style as the G4 cases). Check out these pics and that will give you an idea of what to expect.

Also the power supply is slightly different. I know that Mac's can use an ATX PS by cutting one wire... but I'm not sure if you can spice a wire on to the Mac connector to enable PC use.

No pun taken.

Actually they are stylish and versital. You pull one latch and the whole motherboard with PCI cards comes down. I have done it many times to check my heatfactor while the computer is one. Looks cool, works good... why not?

:p

They make colored cases similar to Imac with the ATX form factor. Those dont do it for you? Gotta have a mac case?

that G4 case is actually pretty cool, but id think ud would have to do some heavy mods to get stuff to fit
