can you eat coyote?

in texas they are trying to encourage eatingi of some wild hog or something

err wild hog is good eats, coyote not so much.

my cousin occasionally goes coyote hunting, he has eaten them and says they're pretty good. i need to get around to going out with him to eat me some coyote.

I wouldn't eat it. Coyotes are scavengers, who knows what it ate last.
To much risk in parasites or other hidden nasties.
A coyote pelt would look rather cool though.

Possums are caught alive and then fed corn or other grains for a week or two to clean out any cooties they may have before they are killed and eaten. They are good, but tend to be a bit oily.

Wild ( young ) pigs are very good, full grown wild hogs are not very good as they are very gamey and strong tasting due to the musk glands on mature animals, esp the males.

No way would I eat a Coyote unless it was that or starve, then yeah serve-em up.

you have not eaten much hog, or at least you have been very selective
