can you drink shanghai tap water??

I dont plan to drink it straight from the tap... probably boiling it first.. is that save to do?

If you boil it, it should be fine. Make sure whatever container you drink from is sterilized as well.

The water in Shanghai has so much chlorine in it that it tastes like swimming pool water at a public pool. It won't hurt you in the short term but I reccomend drinking beer! Only, don't drink the local stuff. Reeb is total crap and the Bud of Shanghai. Try Shanghai Lan Gwui Fong Beer Plaza for German style brews they make themselves.
