Can you do a clean install from Vista upgrade...

Basically, I'm asking if we buy an upgrade version of Vista, will we be able to do a clean install as long as we can prove we have a prior version of Windows by sticking in the CD or di I need to buy the Full Retail Version?

It should work like a full version allowing you to do an upgrade or full install. You would just need to supply a key for a previous version.
 
Supply a key or the disc from a previous version? Just curious. IN the past all we had to do was put in the disc of a previous version. Inserting a disc allowed the prevous version's key to be transferred. Not that you were supposed to...but you could!
