LittleMsSnuggie (my wife) can cook really well. I'd say she is between Intermediate and Advanced... The only reason I don't say advanced is because she never cooks fancy shmancy shit because we don't have the money or time for that stuff. I'm sure she could do it just fine though, but would probably need a recipe. She makes some fantastic food though... I''ve put on 40ish pounds since we've been together lol

I consider myself intermediate I guess, even though there are 2 or 3 dishes that I make really well. I try to get the wife to do most of the cooking hehe... (and the cleaning if I can con her into it :p )

I've put together some fancy shmancy shit when we were dating, you just didn't know it lol.

This is why people gain so much weight after they get married. Too busy working and taking care of things to work out. lol
But I do not care, gain 100 lbs... at least this way I will have a soft cushion to lay my head on instead of your bony hips. =D

Nice smoke ring on that brisket (or whatever cut of meat it actually is, I'm no BBQ expert) Mel! THe ribs look perfect. Just enough scorch to taste awesome!

Thanks, and yes, that's a Brisket "flat".

Tell me more about this smoked corn...

Get fresh corn with the full stalk if you can. Pull stalk back to expose corn, leaving stalk attached. Submerge the corn for about 1-1.5hrs in water. Pull corn out, apply olive oil to the corn, sprinkle some salt and pepper. Wrap the stalk back around the corn, toss onto your smoker for 1.5-2hrs at 225F.

When done right the corn comes out very tender, it's been a hit every time I've cooked it so far.

I went pro for 10 years, then retired to the hall of fame :)

No pics on my though. I made a standing rib roast for Christmas that looked like something out of a magazine. I'll have to see if pics are on my camera.

Hmm...I do the same thing, except I leave the husk in place. I find the starch in the corn absorbs too much smoke without some kind of covering on it.

I put the husk back in place as well when it goes on the smoker. You're right, it does require a barrier of some sort.

Finest, that looks good. You got some good color on that chicken.

Yeah, the color was perfect, the marinade didn't quite get in yet though, it was still good. Didn't like the cut though, not gonna get thighs again, breasts all the way :awe:

On your scale, I'd be advanced, though I wouldn't call myself a home chef. I'd call myself a home cook perhaps. The "title" chef would imply to me that someone would innovate recipes and develop their own recipes to great success. I generally just modify recipes to suit my taste-buds and/or laziness.

No disrespect intended but I leave that up to my wife. She likes cooking and I hate it so it works out.

If your woman can't cook then it's time to find a new one.

I make a pretty decent french onion soup. Brined roasted rack of pork is another favourite.

Oh, and chocolate mousse for dessert.

Up until the last year or so I've been a miserable cook but my boyfriend has changed that for the better I would like to hope.

I don't have any pics but my fav dish.

Hot Queso Chicken Pasta :

3 Chicken Breasts
2 Jars Queso Cheese Sauce
2 Bottle's Hot Wing Sauce
1 Box of Penne Pasta

Cut Chicken into Strips, Pieces, Whatever the fuck you want
Mix Queso And Hot sauce in Cake Pan. You'll need a fairly large size pan for cooking so i use a cake pan
Add Chicken to pan with mixed sauces and mix till chicken is thoroughly covered, Cover with Foil
Preheat Oven to 400 Degrees, Cook for 35-40 minutes
Cook Pasta and top with Shredded Cheese

Enjoy. It's pretty fucking amazing
