long story shot : I needed to print out some schematics I have in autocad
I poped them on to a CD and bought them to a printing place
The guy there opens up the files and says: we can?t print this. (he understood they were autocad files)
You need to bring the files in .plt format

So I hop to another place, same deal there.

Now I?m stumped here

Dwg is an autocad drawing (multi layered in my case)
Plt well isn?t that effectively an acrobat thing?

Is there any way to convert one in to the other?

Ps: sry if it?s the wrong forum/place

1st thing I checked and unfortunately no.
I get multiple options on .dxx types but not plt
Unless its some where else other than ?save as??

It used to be Plot to File (pretty sure). Can they print a DXF? That's what you get from export.

edit There it is. In the Plot window, check the box next to Plot to File. Then it will prompt you for a file name when you print with a default extension of plt.

Tnx that was a life saver

I figured out how to plot but couldn?t fit to any paper that was available in any reasonable scale.

I think the problem is solved now
My autoCAD skills are rudimentary at best
Tnx to all again
