Can you call someone from your home phone if they have magic jack?

Anyone know about Magic Jack?
I'm trying to find out if you can call someone who has Magic Jack if you don't have it, or if only people who also have Magic Jack can call Magic Jack people.

Anyone can call a magic jack user as long as their computer is on.

Actually, anyone can call a MagicJack user regardless if the computer that runs the software is on or off.

If the computer is off, MagicJack's voicemail kicks in and takes a message. You will then get an email notice with the message attached.

As far as anyone else concerned, the MagicJack number you get works like any other phone number.

Yes but, talking to voice mail isn't talking to the person so there. Plbbbbbt! <raspberry>

MagicJack works OK but, there are definitely outages, missed calls, direct to voice mail without ringing through etc.
