I can. It's nice to know that if anyone ever tries to murder me asphyxiation, I can breathe through my eye socket. I learned about this when I did a farmer blow outside and air came out my eye!
I can make air come OUT of my tear duct, but doubt I can suck air IN!
I doubt you can either!
Just trying would probably suck your eyeball deep into (what pass's as) your brain!
A farmer blow is when you blow your nose without a kleenix! Preferably done outside (hehe). You use a finger to close one nostril and just blast your nose out, then swtich and do the other nostril. It's one of the true pleasures of life.

Well, your lacrimal duct opens directly into your nasal cavity, so you're not really breathing through your eye 'socket'. That's why when you yawn or cry, your nose gets runny, too.

breathing through your eye socket is one thing. being asphyxiated is quite another. what you mean to say is that you'd survive if they tried to plug your nose and mouth. you can also breathe through your ears if you poke a hole through you timpanic membrane.
Holy cow, I just realized that advanced age has robbed me of this gift..... <sniff> I used to be able to plug my nose, blow, and get air squeaking out the corner of my nose (tear ducts, someone said). Reading this post made me anxious to enjoy this childhood skill again. Alas, NO DICE!
I guess I'll just have to make due with my ability to crack my nose the way some people crack their knuckles. Beat that you eye socket breathers!
