Can you blow speakers by plugging into the microphone jack?

If you plug the input from a source into the mic jack with the 20db boost and volume maxed out you could possibly blow some cheaper speakers especially if for any duration at all ...
 
lol! this has to be the funniest thread. anyways the theory is that speaker jacks output right? 🙂 and mic jacks input! so there is no possible way to blow your speakers, instead your speakers would act like a microphone. (a crappy mic). 😀. to be safe, make sure your speaker volume is at a minimum when you plug it in, cause you might hear a little "zzzzzzzzzzt" noise 😉.
