Can you barter at Men's Warehouse?

I just had something pop up tomorrow which is going to require a suit. All of mine are currently at a different address so I'm thinking about just picking up a cheaper suit to make due for now. I'm wondering if I can barter down the prices at Men's Warehouse. They seem to be that kind of place, like ABC Warehouse. What do you guys think?

Well if you plan on buying it anyway, there is nothing to lose but respect from guys who sell suits for a living.

???

I'm just wondering if there is a good price/quality ratio at Men's Warehouse

I tried about 1.5 years ago, no go...

Did get a pair of suits on sale though, they kill you on accessories, buy them elsewhere.

I think you mean haggle.
You can haggle anywhere if you're lucky.
But you usually have to speak with a manager - someone who has the authority to change prices.
Also, it's pretty much impossible to work a deal if it's your first time in the store. It's a lot easier if you are a repeat customer and the manager knows you and knows that what he loses in giving you a discount, he will easily gain back by your continuing business.

I don't think you can just buy a suit off the rack and be wear it tomorrow, most of pants are unhemmed. Men's warehouse has slow turnaround time, since they rarely has a taylor in house.

You can haggle anywhere if you go there enough.

When I used to work retail there would be one dude who would buy a lot of stuff.. manager would work out deals with him.

Men's Warehouse stuff is trash. Take it from someone who knows.

And you know because?

I've actually bought a suit from there, and it was very nice. It looked great, it fit great, and it never faded or wore before I gave it away. I had it for 8 years, and was very happy with it.

Because our family owns a chain of dry cleaning stores and we've had to clean Men's Warehouse suits many times. The quality of the material used is sub par. My dad always tells our customers that they're better off buying a suit elsewhere when they come to pick up their clothes.

You can find good suits cheap at Marshalls and some other discount chains sometimes. Then take it to a tailor for alterations.

No, Men's Wherehouse is total crap, with cheap, poorly-tailored suits at high prices, sold by an arrogant staff that is more concerned about flashy salesmanship and their commissions that what you actually want.

I hardly ever buy anything without asking for atleast 10% off. Ive got $150 off of computers at BestBuy, 50% of DVD players at Walmart ,etc. You just have to ask. All they can say is no.

A cheap suit is a cheap suit, whereever you buy it. That JCP cheap suit will have "sub-par" material just like a Mens Wearhouse cheap suit.

However, MW will often have great prices on donna karan, jones new york and oscar de la renta suits. I don't know about their tailoring services. I recommend finding a local tailor to work with for all of your clothes. He/she will get to know you and make you look great in your new suits.

Just Say No when the MW sales person tries pushing the accessories and you'll be fine.
