can you backup an account in Thunderbird?

I want to backup all the settings and files in a Thunderbird account because I'm doing a clean OS install. How do I do it?

Basically, I want to backup all the settings and files to a CDr, install the OS and everything, then pop the CDr back in and import the settings and files.
 
Just copy your Thunderbird folder under Documents and Settings. That has ALL of your thunderbird files, minus the actual program.
