Ummmm...Windows XP "downloaded as an .exe"???

Well, first, if such a thing were possible...it would be a huge file...and illegal (read: warez...unless MS just suddenly decides to start distibuting its OS via the Internet as "a download").

Sounds like you've either just been plain duped, confused by someone's terminology, or if you're really lucky, maybe you got yourself that wonderful Windows XP keygen virus that's been circulating!!!

Enjoy!

According to others the .iso is distributed as a .exe. You just change the extention to .iso, burn it, and warez away. But like I said, this is according to others (if you dont believe me, please come to my house, no stolen software on my machines :D ).

there is a guide out ther for how Windows generates the serials for XP

its a actually a fairly simple algorithm that just tells you what characters to use in what order.. you can make up your own in a minute

But i cant post it here

of course u should only use it if you lost your key to your legal version of XP and dont feel like calling MS :)

PM me if you have any questions regarding this issue and it involves legal resolution ;)
