Can we vote to REMOVE Elite status from a user?

Since we occasionally get threads in which people nominate their favorite members for elite status, I would like to vote that a certain elite member have their status removed. The member in particular has become nothing but a worthless troll... thread crapping and providing little substance to their posts other than repetitive and tiring rhetoric. I've seen other members be banned for less trolling than this member does, but apparently because they are "Elite" its allowed.

I vote to have their elite status stripped.. I don't want to NAME this member, because that would probably get this thread locked, but lets just say I am tired of their "CLOWN"ing around.

No but we can vacation you for thinly veiled attacks on another member.

Btw, seeing that us voting for giving it to someone does not mean they'd get it either (the Mods give it to whomever they want, not to whom we want), I don't see how voting among normal members to take it away will have any effect.

I know voting has no real effect on the Mods, but at least this thread may bring it to their attention.

Because its getting tired to read their trolls posted 25 times a day in threads that often have nothing to do with the subject they are trolling about.

You could of course try, but you better gather some proof of the trolling first, because people will kick your ass if they like that person. It might work as constructive criticism, if the person sees it and decides to change his/her/its behavior.

granted his posts are "different" but I don't see a reason to strip his status

EDIT: I change my mind. I've been going through alot of his posts and well.. you know
