OK mods, we have over 92% of the people, and many examples that verify that Intelia should be banned. What does it take for this to happen ?? A riot ??? Please at least respond with a reason for no action, or many here will be very pissed.

It's very easy. Here's the plan: No-one of us posts in the CPU forums for a week. Except, of course, Intelia. Then they'll have to notice.

Intelia, is trolling and spreading misinformation. I am worried (and annoyed) that some users might take him/her/it seriously and follow their advice leading to a bad deal. Then when we try to correct her she blatantly denies everything we say and start causing more problems.

Anandtech forums are and continue to be the best on the net for computers. You mods do a fantastic job, and i know there are only a few of you, but this really needs to be taken seriously.

A large amount of forum members have already started a thread here. Notice the poll has 50 people wanting them banned. Not only that everyone posting in that thread is very concerned about this issue.

Not necessarily. While a lot people tend to lean towards AMD, even those people give good solid advice that goes against their preference.

Dothan and Intelia, offer no information either way and absolutely refuse to give people good honest recommendations. Then when a another member tries to correct them, the refute all evidence and begin flaming and saying how little everyone knows.

Its just out of hand. That FI's thread should show that to. We can deal with your average person who has nothing better to do but mess around in here, but thes 2 are regularly hear and posting misinformation.

Duvie has even volunteered to moderate (while i doubt you guys would give him it lol) the forums because it is so out of hand. THe odd flamewar or intense discussion is fine. But the only reason for DOthan and Intelia posting is to raise tensions and incite problems.

Heh, someone should goto Intel about this person. If they send something back, it probably would be pretty funny.

To be honest, the only reason the majority of people here favor AMD is simply that their stuff performs better. If Intel made a processor today that beat out AMD, I'd be going Intel. Most of us have little brand loyalty in the CPU market, esp. when it comes to two large, reputable, experienced companies like AMD and Intel that pretty much have a duopoly over the desktop processor market. This is quite evident: take one look into the motherboard forum and all sorts of brand loyalties show up. However, the motherboard forum is civil; there are no users which create posts to promote one brand over the other for the sole purpose to promoting that brand through nonsensical comparisons and unverified data. This is what Intelia and Dothan are doing; this is considered trolling, and if it is considered acceptable on AT, I'm not sure I want to be part of this forum anymore.

I'm not saying it's terrible to favor one processor company blindly over the other (you can do whatever you want), but don't insult other users for not agreeing with you.

its all well and good ignoring Intelia, but she/he keeps bumping her own threads constantly during the days .. and that is an annoyance since we dont need those sort of thread wasting space on the front page..

Well ignoring is an option. However you would need every person in the forum to ignore her... all >100,000 members (while most aren't active or dont post in that forum, still). As Rich said, she/he/it continues to bump the threads anyways.

The fact is you cannot get a forum with 100,000+ members to ignore all the posts made by 2 people. The only way to fix this is mod intervention by way of "Telling them to knock it off", Vacation, or a Ban, or (better yet for all of us) an IP Ban 🙂
