I don't think it's fair to criticize others for not being charitable enough... after all, chances are someone's going to die this year who could have been saved if you'd donated a kidney.
that's not the same. if i were a doctor or hospital admin there i would donate services to this girl.

Right. Even if they didn't want to donate the services, they could at least do the surgery to save her life now and just get paid back later. Much like shipping first on FS/FT.

Wow glad to see our money actually helped this girl out! The updated article is as of December. Hopefully there will be a follow up.
