Can this be made a sticky?

K, it won't let me type anything into the "other" field. My credit card is maxed, and $10 is all I can squeeze out of it. Anyone else have this problem?

Also, "A team of doctors in Miami are ready to help the 14-year-old girl but they have to wait until enough money is raised to pay for her hospital stay."

It's the hospital that wants the money up front, not the doctors. They seem to be ready to go.

QFT. People, don't blame the doctors. Most of that money (I believe) goes to insurance companies, who are probably the ones holding this up.

Sent them this inquiry don't know if it will do any good but we will see.

I am inquiring about Marlie Casseus and the dollar amount she needs to accumulate to have the surgery. I am from one of the largest internet forums at http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview...atid=38&threadid=1732842&enterthread=y and many of us have been donating to her surgery and were wondering how far away she is. Thank You

Bumping because I'm tired of reading other threads from some whining babies who 'think' they have problems... they should be thankful they don't have genuine problems.



Why not cleanse some of your self-absorption and donate some $$ to help?

I am hoping (but doubt) that $95,000 is 'hard' costs for the surgery.

In other sad news, a 40-50ish lady at my job was unable to get her blood pressure meds during Hurricane Wilma. Had a stroke and died. She was funny and active at work, just a low level worker there, but always said hi to everyone. Many are having a hard time dealing with her loss.

Two sad parts...she was scheduled to become a full-time employee with benefits as soon as she got back to work. She left 5 kids, I am not sure if she has much family...she became a single mom (all the same father) when he took off....oldest is 17, youngest like 5 or 6.

If you can even give a single buck to these kinds of things try too. As my career is growing, I am finding I am donating more and more.
