Can we bomb these people or something?

No, the Gulf war was about preventing IRAQ from controlling all of the oil in the region, because IRAQ has a history of wanting to become a large empire in the middle east... IRAQ has a history of gassing it's own people. IRAQ engaged in an extremely aggressive war in IRAN that was pointless and killed millions on both sides, so when that didn't work out IRAQ set it's sights on defenseless Kuwait.

You are a tool... now go back in your hippy cave, watch your X-files re-runs and read more of your conspiracy papers.

And another thing... I am really getting tired of you whiny-ass globalization loving, hippy bitches going on and on about how awful and evil the United States is. Our government makes mistakes like ALL governments do. Our government is probably influenced more by special influence groups than it ought to be. There are many flaws with our government. Having said all of that we live in one of the finest countries in the world and although many of you little love/peace faggots might think of this country as just another place to park your ass and eat your cheetos, I am very proud to be an American.

What did I just say?

You made an ass of yourself. We didn't want Saddam to control the oil because that would have put him in a better position to blackmail the west. Unlike the popular hollywood addage it had nothing to do with the idea of gas going up a nickel a gallon.

You are the one inferring any positions from my post. All I said is that it was about the oil - which is true, is it not?

You seem to be confused. Traditionally its the conservatives who are in favour of free trade and globalization, and its the hippies who protest against it.

Of course, love and peace are the two single greatest evil this world has ever seen and must be eradicated. Anyone who likes these two evils is a homosexual.

OK, well let's just say that I find the constant whining and nagging of a group of folks who want us to return to isolationism (did we learn nothing from the events of the 30's?) rather distasteful.

Wait, now. The liberals want a global government that uses an iron fist against corporations. The conservatives want sovereign nations with free trade between them.

But freetrade is one of the cornerstones of globalization. As we saw in Seatle, Quebec city and other cities, said 'hippies' don't like free trade.

Oh well. They simply don't like freedom, period. If someone is making a buck, the hippies can't stand it.
