I use old (6 years) 14' monitor Samsung SyncMaster 3NE with max mode 1024x768x60Hz(non interl.) in mode 600x800xrefresh optimal(72-75Hz ni) near max. During no long trying some no large savage4 overclocking 125/125 to 155/136 mem/core I have some strange sounds from my monitor sometimes.

what the video card is clocked to resides inside the card, and does not affect the monitor at all.

what does affect your monitor is the settings you have in terms of resolutions and refresh rates.

now, what kind of strange sounds are you hearing?

notice, that your monitor is 6 years old, i think it's time for a new one.

I'm using monitor mode 600x800xrefresh optimal(72-75Hz ni) and video card settings 125/125(default) memory/core without probs. After setting video card settings 155/136 memory/core I have sibilant (high tone) sounds sometimes and fillips sometimes. Thanx.
...My monitor is very old :(.
