can u burn out head phones?

hey i use my sony headphones....forget the name, but the little ear bud ones with the 9mm drivers...they sound is immensly good

i like using them in the headphone jack on my logitech Z-3's if i have the volume too loud can i burn these baby's out?

If they're loud enough to burn out the headphone drivers, you'll probably need to worry about burning out your hearing first.

oh right lol
thanks man hehehe......im pretty used to having my ears pounded lol, our student union has a killer set up, and the subs are just unfrickin real!

bad hearing from club.....bad eyes off computer monitor!

yeah, you can burn out headphones, but my guess is you're not going to. i burned out a pair of Onkyo's with 50mm drivers, but the situation was out of the ordinary. recording a drummer who was wearing earplugs to protect his hearing, and to get enough volume through the cans we had them plugged into a full-on power amp. they kicked the bucket after about 10 minutes, and were hot to the touch. i've read about people in the same situation actually melting their headphones while they were on their heads and getting burned.

It is possible to burn them out. Especially if you are playing a distorted signal at high volumes.

i have dsp-500 they are loud they hurt your ears but i dont know about blowout. i turn them wall the way up and set them on my desk like speakers so i guess they dont burn out.
