This kid has been harassing me for a while. Started with DDosing and threatning to DDoS various servers I run, and just causing other problems to me and other people on my game server.

He's not really breaking the law, he's just really annoying.

I have his mom's email and his email and I want to submit it to TONS of places that will get him spam.

I even thought of setting a filter on my mail server to reply to all the spam I get but use his email as the from: so it will tell spammers it's a valid email.

Is there anything about this that could get me in trouble? I really can't see how.
 
Seems really childish, but you won't get in trouble for it. (Though it's technically something you could be sued for in civil court, it will never come up).

Childish and the mom would have decent grounds to sue your ass. If you have the mom's email her and politely tell her what her kid is doing. If he continues get a lawyer and send them a cease desist order to stop DDoSing your servers.

Oh we've already sent a cease and desist, and even contacted his local police about it. He just keeps harassing us in ways that the law can't really do much about. He's stopped with the DDoS, so at this point there's nothing we can do as far as the legal system goes, as he's not breaking the law. He's just frigen annoying, I want to make sure he pays. He already cried on another forum about me posting his emails in his sig (after banning him). This kid is unreal, he does not know when to stop. Problem is, it's not just him, he has friends too that are helping him, so really I'd have to find out their emails too.

But if I could get sued for it, then I may be best not to. Then again, I'm in Canada, they're in the Us. Can an individual in the US sue someone in Canada? I don't even think big companies like the RIAA can, unless I'm mistaken, so can't see an individual being able to.
 
I doubt he could actually cause any harm, if your shit is secured properly a script kiddie won't be able to touch you. All you can do is just ban his IP's and move on.
 
My friend did this to someone before that we met on America's Army lol, it was pretty hilarious. Well it was at 3AM Googling trying to find spam sites, which is a little harder than you'd think actually.

haha yeah it is actually hard to find when you're looking for it. I remember setting up a VM to see how much crap I could accumulate in the OS by just using IE to go on bad sites, without actually installing anything. I was running out of places to search but ended up having adaware finding about 1k objects.

What exactly is he doing that's annoying? Being an idiot on a forum isn't grounds to spam that persons email address, otherwise people like myself would be in big trouble. Take the higher road here, he is trolling, if you ignore him he will stop eventually, but fighting back will just make it worse.
 
I think if you just put an email address up on newsgroups it tends to attract spam. Look for some groups with lots of russian and east euro posters.
