Creationists have been trying to undercut the school system for YEARS. They've become better-funded and more "scientific" minded in the past few decades, but nothing has changed.

I'm surprised they are still around. I thought creationism was a thing of the past...apparently some people out there still believe in the seven days bit. :shocked:

I honestly feel that it would simply be less trouble if science wasn't taught in public secondary schools. Teaching science makes situations like this inevitable, and it can be argued that the scientific method is a religion and teaching it is embracing it. Why don't we just leave science up to the post-secondary level? That way seems more politically correct.

So perhaps it would be smarter to teach ideas which conflict with the views of 82% of the populace.
