For some reason if I run bitcomet after a while the sound pops/crackles in any app. I'm using an x-fi titanium (pcie-x1) fatality pro. Latest drivers, previous cleaned etc, latest nic drivers...

As soon as I close bitcomet the pop/crackle is gone as long as theres no sound playing from anywhere when I close it.

This never ever happened with my previous soundcard: x-fi xtremegamer (legacy pci version)
I don't know if I should rma, creative thinks its a driver problem but I cleaned it using drive sweeper/drivercleaner.net and even creative driver clean tool... Yes I did move the card to a diff pci-e slot, far away from the video card and it still happens. Also tried using different video cards (5970 and gtx 285).

rig:
asus p5q pro
q9550 @ 3.4
2x2gb ddr2 800
winx64
x-fi titanium fatality pro
gtx285
corsait tx850

Sounds more like Bitcomet doing something stupid. Have you tried another program (like uTorrent)?

yea and so far it's not giving me problems. What I don't get is I'm the only one experiencing this. No one else in the bitcomet forums has this problem. I even tried using the latest bitcomet beta. And this doesn't happen with my xtremegamer xfi card so I'm wondering if the xfi titanium is actually defective?

Last time I looked at BitComet (mind you that was a while ago) it tried to have a bunch of multimedia functionality, so it wouldn't surprise me if it was trying to output stuff to the sound card. I don't know really.

thanks I guess Ill have to ditch comet, still it seems weird that I'm the only one with this problem.
