i'm a longtime user of creative's soundblaster live value, but as many other people, i also have problems with my rice crispy live value, snap crackle and pop when i scroll in IE, etc.. i have the klipsch v2 400 and i'm wondering if those speakers are able to hook up to that big ass blue box on the herc. game theater xp? also.. are the new klipsch 5.1 system able to hook up to them too? thanks!

I havent tried it, but why wouldnt they be able to? I have the klipsch hooked up the the acoustic edge, and I dont see a reason why it wouldnt hook up with the gtxp.

the "snap crackle and pop" is not your sound card....they are the Klipsch Speakers.

The power cord connecting the Klipsch Subwoofer, is to say the least, very cheap. I do not know how to say it exactly, but it does get "corrutped" or "broken".

You should send your right front satellite to Klipsch for power cord repair. This has happend to me and my cousin. I have a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz.

i doubt it's the speakers because it happen specifically when i'm scrolling down a webpage or browsing my hard drive, not while it's sitting idle, therefore i would assume it is a problem not connected to the speaker cuz it seems to depend on the computer for creating the snap crackle and pop.

about the 5.1's.. i'm not sure how they connect either, so that's why i was wondering if anyone else knew..

the game theater has alot of RCA jacks on it and i wasn't sure if it provided the 1/8" analog jacks for the klipsch

yeah its not the speakers because its not when he moves anything on the speakers its when he scrolls, my sb live did this too and the hercules doesn't do this at all

I just called Klipsch about the static crackling when I adjust volume and they sent me the latest control unit with the line in and headphone connectors as a replacement. I am not exaggerating here but the sound quality is much better. The lows highs and mids are much clearer and the distortion at very high volumes greater than 50% is non-existent unlike before. It was like getting a new pair of speakers.
They offered a new version of the old control for free or for 30 bucks the latest one with the improved crossover and EQ chips.
