Can the fan from a Volcano 9 be moved to another heat sink?

Can the fan from a Volcano 9 be moved to another heat sink?

I like manual fan speed control but I want to use it on a Thermalright SK-7. Can this be done? I can then use a lighted fan on it's heat sink instead.

Isn't the Volcano 9's fan just a Thermaltake Smart Fan 2? It should just be screwed on to the heatsink, probably is removable

I'm sure it can fit on it, as well as other 80mm heatsinks

Yep, it works just like any old regular 80mm fan.

Thanks. I just removed it and using the same long screws, installed another 80mm fan in it's stead.
