What happened that you needed to get into safe mode. Obviously one of your pieces of hardware is getting hung up when XP tries to load the barebones setup. Sometimes it will go through and show you what is loading, you can then determine what component is getting hung up.

It does show what`s loading,I can`t remember what it stops on.I needed to get in safe mode to change the bootup screen.Oh well,I can live without the different bootup screen.I have dual monitors, seems like it said something about agp at the end.I may try again later and write down what it says. Thanks

Give it a chance, it takes a while. I have a T-bird 1400, 512Mb RAM and it still take about 2 minutes to load to the desktop.

I let it set for almost 5 minutes last time, thought it might be slow.Might try it again this evening.
