Hi all,

As per this thread, I'm looking for a motherboard to use in my CarPC, and the 8RDA+ was suggested.

Can someone try sticking their PC into S3 suspend mode, and tell me if everything turns off (all fans, PSU etc) and whether it resumes into Windows well 🙂

I'd rather not spend the money on the board if it won't do what I want! 🙂

I have an 8rda+. It seems that S3 depends on the video card. When I had a GeForce3 Ti200 with it it would S3 suspend and resume correctly. Though sometimes it wouldn't work but that turned out to be caused by my trying out of different Detonator versions. Now I have an ATI Radeon 9700 and it S3 suspends but not resumes, instead resuming with a police siren and black screen. On my new nForce4 I have picked a GeForce 6600GT and with the latest official drivers S3 works. So the morale of the story is if you want S3 then go with an Nvidia motherboard chipset and Nvidia graphics card.
