Can someone thoroughly explain what DLS is? My understanding is that my soundcard has a built-in wavetable and supports DLS 1 & 2. If I download a different DLS I can use this to replace the built-in wavetable of my soundcard. How exactly is this done? Is the wavetable stored in a rom?
