Im spending a lot to make a new computer, it will be around the the specs in my sig. Heres the parts:
http://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/Wis...itle=New+%241%2E5k+PC+%28v%2E+1%2E3%29

I got a few questions tho:

-Anything that won't work together?
-Is there anything I should change?
-How is the PSU (and will it work for a PCI-E card?)?
-Is X2 3800+ worth it if I do a lot with audio and multitasking?
-Do I really benefit from 120mm case fans from 80mm?

Here is the other case I was looking at, and heres the other parts/accessories I already have:
http://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/Wis...hListTitle=Accessories+%2F+2nd+Choices

I should be ordering the parts anytime from a week from now to the middle of November, so thats why im planning ahead, even tho there could be sales and stuff.

Thanks for input :)

Everything looks fine from here, except for the memory. I've never heard of PQI. I'd suggest getting a name brand such a Crucial, OCZ, or the likes.

As for the case fans, I'd go with 120mm ober 80mm if possible. They will be much quieter while pushing the same amount, if not more, air.

Well, the Ram has Lifetime Warrenty, so it must be pure trash. Also, MiR might not be there next week, but is it worth the extra $30? Last, the PSU linked, is 450Watts enought to cover a PCI-E Video Card, (2) Hard Drives, (3) Fans, (3) PCI Cards (Sound / Firewire /Usb2 Card), Mobo, CPU, (2) Drives, (1) Floppy Drive? I know Quality > Quantity but I thought Thermaltake was a good brand.

Hey Omni, just killin some time before din. I have built many a machine and I have distinct preferences. Advice: go with the very best.
Go to PerformancePC for your case and PSU, fans, mods, etc. and then to New Egg for the rest.
Case: Lian Li, PSU: PC Power, Fans: Panaflo, Fan Controller: Thermaltake, CPU Heatsink: Thermalright Motherboard: Asus, CPU: User choice, Memory: Mushkin or Corsair, HDD's: Seagate, Opticals: Plextor, Video: eVGA (nVidia), Audio; Creative Labs, Floppy/Card Reader: Samsung (Under different brand names I/O Magic etc.)
Follow my advice and do not skimp. Support is very important and all these names have the best phone support available. Build well. Be happy.

Looks very good, but I would also go with the OCZ RAM linked above.
Also XFX has a 7800 GT on sale right now for $299 after rebate that supposedly comes with COD2 also (not positive about the game though).
It is clocked slightly lower than that EVGA (450/1050 to 470/1100), but the difference is definitely not worth $70.

Ok, cool. Thanks for the suggestion on Ram. I will look into PC Power for the PSU. Anyone know a link to give some education on Fans, Cooling, and stuff like that? I dont know a lot about that stuff, and I should know. Oh, and about that XFX Video Card, I will Definatly look into the card IF I do order when the rebate sale thing is on. Thanks

I will look into those brands you said bigahi. Thanks again

drop the evga 7800GT. you can get it for 299 or lower. get the DDR500 g.skill 2gb dual channel kit. it is 245.00 and will be an appropriate match for an x2. the x2 is bandwith hungry, not timings hungry. you need something that can provide it with a ton of bandwith and DDR500 is the way to go. you can OC this ram some, too.

the seasonic s12-500 is a really good PSU, but the antec will work if you want to keep cost down.
