Can someone recommend a good usenet service?

I had been using Newsguy (formerly Zippo) for usenet for a while now and didn't notice a problem with speed (I was on dialup). I just took the plunge on RoadRunner cable-modem service and I now find the Newsguy throughput unbearable (~15k). I'm tired of playing the connection blame game with Newsguy and would appreciate some usenet service recommendations. I'm looking for a service with good speed and acceptable binary retention.
