can someone recommend a good freeware telnet utility?--PLEASE

Why not just use telnet and adjust the properties?

Open telnet and click on the little icon on the top left corner. You will get a drop with a few options. Go to defaults or properties, and change it to full screen, or make the window any custom size, or do whatever. It will give you the option to run it that way every time.

for some reason my telnet doesn't have that option. I don't know what to do I have a huge programmin assignment due tomorrow and I am stuck with a little ass screen. please help are there any other options I have?

try CRT Telnet, or ... go to www.downloads.com and search for telnet.

the best I have found is called Putty. It works like a charm. Another decent one is F-Secure SSH Client.
