I think Bill Gates has a book entitled, "Hard Drive : Bill Gates and the Making of the Microsoft Empire."

Heard it was good, gonna give it a read next week when it comes in from Amazon.

Enlightening as in i can learn something from it and actualy benifit from it in everyday life. I dont want to read a book for a pretty picture in my head that i cant apply anywhere...i want the effort i put into reading (i read at a 2nd grade level) to come back to me.

Are you honestly at second grade reading level?

In any case, I recommend the book Ishmael by Daniel Quinn. It is an easy read, fairly short, simple story, but the truth it speaks blew me away. If you want a book with ideas that you can apply to your own life, look no further than Ishmael.

I'd recommend "Gandhi's Way: A handbook of conflict resolution" by Mark Juergensmeyer.

I'm reading it right now, and I have to say it's a pretty interesting book. Not much (almost none) technical jargons, and it gives good tips on resovling conflicts (as the title have suggested).

Mildly suprised no one has suggested a religious book..ie...Bible, Koran etc etc.
Not that I would either of course.

Peace and War.

edit: or it might be 'War and Peace'. It's one of them.

Actually read the dictionary on how to spell "reccomend".
