Can someone lose a Nobel prize when the truth comes out?

Ummmm, I think you might want to check your sources.

"Pravda" is not exactly the most reliable...a quick google news search brings up

here

Apparently, he had asked to be under the US "nuke umbrella," and that *if* China attacked, would the US consider using nukes against the China mainland. Not an unprovoked nuke attack of China....

No, you mean politicians don't lie?

Proper response is nuke him from orbit of course.

Asking someone to nuke another country if you start a war with them is not really suitable for getting any award, let alone a Nobel Peace prize. Guess their expansionism didn't die after they lost WW II.

And being defended by a conventional army wasn't to his liking I guess, it had to be nukes so millions of innocent Chinese would die?

Well, I do not want to try and justify his argument, but I am guessing it went something like "hey, barely 20 years ago you guys nuked us and decimated our economy+army and then took the bulk of your troops home. What happens if our huge neighbor - against whom we committed numerous atrocities - decides to attack us with their pretty large army and backing from the USSR??"

Given the geo-political realities of the time, I dont think this is all that surprising, but who knows.

FFS... You've used the wrong word like... 5 times.

Bite me. I knew it looked wrong, but couldn't think what was wrong about it.

Since it's not my first language I'm allowed to make mistakes.

Edit: Changed it especially for you. And it was like... 3 times.

What the big deal about nukes? The firebombing of Tokyo killed more than the nukes did, but I don't see you people railing about incendiaries.

What was his original spelling?

If he is Chinese, it would've been misspelled pwize 😛

I'm indeed Dutch (dus een Nederlander), and the original wrong spelling was 'price'.
Usually I don't make many mistakes, but when I'm ill (Sinusitus) I don't pay much attention, and then I can use being Dutch as excuse 😉

If you read the article, the request was made shortly after china developed nukes. Obviously the request was to defend japan from china's nukes. Why aren't you criticizing china?

Because China never said they'd never allow the use of nukes and didn't get a peace prize for it?
