This is for my office, I like how the main unit can be hidden in my server room closet. One siren for my office and one siren for my warehouse.

I would really appreciate it. I have until today to cancel/edit my order. I put a couple days of research into it.

I'll be going with AlarmRelay 8.95 a month monitoring service.
 
Is your connection to the monitoring service done via internet? Did you looking getting a cell/GSM dialer (for either primary or backup connection)?

Yes its primarily via Ethernet.
I skipped on the GSM dialer since Alarm Relay charges an additional 12 a month(21 in total vs 9 a month) plus the unit was about 80 more dollars.

Did ethernet because I didn't want any interference with having a fax machine on the same line. Homesecuritystore and Alarm Relay suggested I do not run my phone/fax and the system on the same line. I figured instead of adding another line just for the fax I should go with Ethernet.

I did not feel it was a necessary expense for the extra GSM capability. If the thief is willing to cut my phone lines then so be it, but I'm guessing most will throw a rock through my glass door/windows.

Yes the first link I provided comes with a Keypad which I will mount in the main office. The central unit will be tucked away in a locked closet.

The keypad is synced wirelessly with the central unit.

This is why I liked this system the best. If someone was to break in, they can smash the keypad all day, the central unit is still functioning and sounding the alarm! 😀

is your internet fairly stable? your alarm panel wont contact the monitoring service if your internet is down or modem/router is having issues...
 
Yes my internet is stable. I don't if its because its a business account or location but ATT DSL has been flawless these past 5 years. I've only called in a couple times during the transition form a dynamic IP to a Static IP. Never had outage issues...compared to Uverse back home :/

Personally, I think the extra $ for the GSM route versus internet connection would be worth it to protect a business (especially for $10/month?) because a lot less can go wrong with the GSM dialer (you hook it up and that's it) than relying on your internet connection/router/modem to be up 24/7 (can someone can cut the cable into the building, construction project knocks out your connection, major virus outbreak brings net to crawl, etc).

Yeah I thought it over. The reason why I didn't get the DSC GSM device was because its locked to connect24; which I do not want to pay for 30 for.

But it seems alarm relay will provide their own device for $144 and my total bill will be 21 a month. I think that is fair. Cell will be backup communication and internet is primary.
 
I'd still recommend alarmsystemstore.com for a second opinion.

I pay about $17 a month to monitor with GSM and a landline. I bought the IP communicator so I don't need to monitor that.

We really can't tell you if you made a good choice since you didn't list your property details.

ADT says they are great, but I can guarantee I could break into most of their covered homes.
