Can someone help with Asus P4B266-C settings

I have an Asus P4B266-C motherboard with 1.8 Northwood processor and Crucial DDR 2100 memory.
I first used all stock settings and everything worked great. I then went into bios to try a little more aggressive memory settings and it would post but windows took 1 minute to open a folder. Quit out, eventually, too forever. and set memory back to stock settings. Tried to oc FSB just a little...110 and same things in windows. so back to stock.
What do I need to do to OC this system? What settings for memory and FSB work? I have read post from people with P4B266 running 1.6 at 2.2G with stock cooling an crucial memory...
WHAT is the secret?

Thank you for any and all help

Try plugging your mouse in the PS2 port if it is a Microsoft one. Other USB devices may be limiting your o/c as well. And remember, not all chips are created equal so your o/c will vary.

Try setting the FSB to 133. This way, your PCI and AGP buses will be running at its normal speed. At 110, the PCI and AGP buses are running out of spec.

Well 133 post but black screen booting windows.
I think 2.4 is a little strong for the stock cooler, does this sound correct?

Maybe I need to sell it and get a 1.6

thanks for your help

I also have a P4B 266-C. and a P4 1.8a. I could not get past 126 fsb so I tried what Pauli suggested. I also upped the v-core as Dre Day said in the bios as high as it would go. I have water cooling using a seaspray refrigerating commercial juice machine as a reservoir. I'd love to post some pics but didn't take any while I was making it.

I booted it and got a hardware warning that my voltage was to high right at startup but I pressed the F1 key to continue and it booted fine. It runs at 2.4 ghz.

I have an asus 8200 GF3 ti500 card and ran a bunch of video tests and it did well. The video doctor program shows the card at 80 C. Should I consider cooling the card, even tho vid dr. says the card is fine. What other things can I do to tweak this system. I have a 156W pelt but have not put it in. My water temp is about 4 C. I just haven't had the nerve to stick it in. Also I have an athlon that I thought might need it more.
