can someone help me

I have a P3 450 with 330mb of ram. I run windows 98. When i use winamp to play mp3s and I open a program its causes winamp to skip. Is there any way that i can prevent this from happening. I am fairly new at all this so any help is appreciated

edit: i would try upgrading drivers. maybe its your sound card. what kind you have?

Yeah...what kind of sound card do you have? And you might change the priority level of the program.

mine does exactly the same thing.
when i have winamp on, and i open IE or surf to a new page, it skips or pauses for a few seconds.

however, i do run a horribly lousy system. P2 233 is just so slow, that loading IE5 takes up 98% of my processor ability.

so that's why mine hangs... i think. 🙂

i have a voodoo3. Ive dloaded the newest driver and that didnt work, im still open to any suggestions

I think it's just your cpu saying "scotty we need more power damnit"

if that isn't the case, I'm clueless.

My p200 does that 🙂
