Can someone help me?

I just bought a 6800 standard for my computer because my other card kept crashing my system. My new card, doesnm't crash my system, and I get really high framerates with it, but unfortuantly, whenever I try to exit a game, the game freezes. This normally isn't a problem, because I can just conrol alt delete it, but I can't get to the Doom 3 map editor! Also, when playing Deus Ex 2, the game works fine, until it has to load something. THen it freezes.

Sounds more like a memory or OS issue to me.
