Hey guys,

My pc has been crashing. (win2k sp2 + all other updates available) It is a fresh install. (I did a fresh install b/c of the crashing). I have 1 gig memory with an Abit KG7 and a 1400 Athlon. Here is the error that ther event viewer says:

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000000a (0x00a10854, 0x000000ff, 0x00000000, 0x804165fc). Microsoft Windows 2000 [v15.2195]. A dump was saved in: C:\WINNT\Minidump\Mini030202-02.dmp.

I am not sure what those addresses mean......... Can someone help?

TIA

Well,

The thing finally crashed and didn't reboot.......

said something about couldn't write to the registery or the registery was corrupt. I cleaned off a 20 gig drive I had and I am reloading now. I only hope that was the problem (HD) and that it isn't my memory (4 crucial 256 sticks of registered DDR PC 2100).

It may be a good lesson for all of us to backup our W2K/XP registries. I think you can use NTBackup
that comes on XP to do that (it should be in the system tools under accessories).

Let us know how it goes!

Update:

It crashed while loading Win2K. I think I might have a bad stick of memory. I pulled 2 of my sticks. I am trying to load again.
